Poster Printing Policies

Poster Policy

  • Posters will be printed during Health Sciences Librarian availability in Marion so please coordinate with them before submitting. If it is for an entire class and your professor has contacted the Librarian then a quick email after submitting is encouraged.

  • Only Emory & Henry University faculty, staff, and students may request posters

  • The first poster for conferences and SHS classes will be printed at no charge. Posters for other purposes, like events, or a reprinting will incur a charge of TBD

  • The poster must be in PDF format

  • When creating a poster slide using PowerPoint, the slide MUST be set up at the actual size that you will have printed or half-size (21”x36” for a 42”x72” poster) then convert to PDF

  • We are not responsible for editing or formatting posters

  • You will receive an email when your poster is ready. If time is urgent then please remember to coordinate with the Health Sciences Librarian.

  • We reserve the right to refuse printing to anyone not meeting these guidelines

 

Helpful Hints on Setting up Your Poster

  • We print on 42" wide media rolls. Either the width OR length of your poster may exceed 42", but not both dimensions

  • We will not print any document smaller than 12"x18" 

  • Make sure you have a small margin (at least 0.5") on all sides of your poster 

  • Make sure your font is large enough for viewing - at least 20pt.

  • Make sure your font is sans serif for accessibility (Arial, Roboto, Verdana, Calibri, Helvetica)
