*The Mevo is not intended to be used from a long distance, but is meant to be used for close-up recording. The camera should only be far enough away to capture the entire performance you are wanting to capture.
When you check out the Mevo from the Library, its battery should have a full charge. Battery life for the Mevo is approximately 4 hours
*If you do not have a USB-AC adapter, using the USB-A to USB-C cable, you can charge the battery by plugging the Mevo into a computer/laptop.

Using the built-in audio
In the Mevo app, select the “Audio & Video” menu.
There are two audio modes:
Music – keeps full frequency, but also adds some filtering and range compressions to prevent peaking.
Speech – adds a low pass filter to increase clarity.
Using external audio
The Mevo Start also allows for external audio inputs via the 3.5mm located on the back of the camera.

Connecting the Mevo with a Local Wi-Fi Network
Note: When you first power on the camera and open the app, by default you will be prompted to connect to the Mevo Start Hotspot mode.

Streaming to a Website
Open the Mevo App on your smartdevice and connect to the Mevo Start Camera.
Tap the red button in the bottom left corner of the screen to see streaming options.
Under Streaming Destinations, select “My Website”.
Selecting this will open a window prompting you to create an account/log-in to Vimeo*.
*Note: You need a Vimeo Premium plan in order to go live to Vimeo.
After logging in to Vimeo, you will need to authorize Mevo to access your Vimeo information before proceeding.
Once authorized, you can configure your livestream.
Create a new event or select a scheduled event from the bottom of the window.
Select your desired audience.
Give your event a Title.
Select streaming quality (up to 1080p).
When you have everything setup to your standards, tap “Go Live” in the upper right corner to start the stream.
To end the stream, tap the small red dot, then slide the larger red dot to the right.
You will be given an option to save your video to your Vimeo account or to an SD card (if being used).
Select “Done” to return to the live edit view of your video.
Streaming to Livestream
Open the Mevo App on your smart device and connect to the Mevo Start Camera.
Tap the red button in the bottom left corner of the screen to see streaming options.
Under “Streaming Destinations”, select the Livestream logo.
You will be prompted to log-in to your Livestream account.
Once logged in, you can configure the livestream.
Create a new event or select a scheduled event from the bottom of the window.
Tap the gearwheel icon to toggle Livestream Chat and Notify Followers on and off.
Title your livestream.
Select streaming quality by tapping the menu in the upper right corner (default is 720p).
Tap “Go Live” to start the stream.
To end the stream, tap the small red dot, then slide the larger red dot to the right.
You will be given an option to save your video to your Vimeo account or to an SD card (if being used).
Select “Done” to return to the live edit view of your video.
Streaming to Facebook
Open the Mevo App on your smart device and connect to the Mevo Start Camera.
Tap the red button in the bottom left corner of the screen to see streaming options.
Under “Streaming Destinations”, select the Facebook Live icon.
You will be prompted to log-in to your Facebook account and allow certain permissions for Mevo to connect properly.
Once logged in, you can configure the livestream.
Select a Facebook destination: Profile, Scheduled Live posts, Pages, or Groups.
Choose to tag Location and set Audience option.
The gearwheel icon will open a window allowing you to toggle chat on and off, toggle on/off “Continue Streaming”, and also log out of account.
Title your livestream.
Select streaming quality (up to 720p).
Tap “Go Live” to start the stream.
To end the stream, tap the small red dot, then slide the larger red dot to the right.
You will be given an option to save your video to your Facebook feed, Vimeo account or to an SD card (if being used).
Select “Done” to return to the live edit view of your video.
Streaming to Twitter (X) & Periscope
Open the Mevo App on your smart device and connect to the Mevo Start Camera.
Tap the red button in the bottom left corner of the screen to see streaming options.
Under “Streaming Destinations”, select the Periscope/Twitter (X) icon.
You will be prompted to log-in to your Periscope account and allow certain permissions for Mevo to connect properly.
Once logged in (you will receive a pop-up stating Periscope’s streaming quality is locked at 720p), you can configure the livestream.
Tap your profile name (lower left corner) to select it as your streaming destination.
Tap the Twitter/X icon to also push your stream to Twitter (it will turn blue when enabled, white when disabled).
Title your livestream.
Tap “Go Live” to start the stream.
To end the stream, tap the small red dot, then slide the larger red dot to the right.
You will be given an option to save your video to your Periscope feed, Vimeo account or to an SD card (if being used).
Select “Done” to return to the live edit view of your video.
Streaming to Custom Destinations
Open the Mevo App on your smartdevice and connect to the Mevo Start Camera.
Tap the red button in the bottom left corner of the screen to see streaming options.
Under “Streaming Destinations”, select the “RTMP” icon.
Tap +New RTMP to add new destination.
Name your streaming destination, then enter your provider’s RTMP URL and Stream Key. Tap “Add” when done.
Your RTMP provider will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap to select it. The “Go Live” button should light up red, meaning its ready to stream.
Tap “Go Live” to start the stream.
To end the stream, tap the small red dot, then slide the larger red dot to the right.
You will be given an option to save your video to your Vimeo account or to an SD card (if being used).
Select “Done” to return to the live edit view of your video.
Streaming to Multiple Destinations
Note: to access this feature, a Vimeo Producer or Vimeo Premium plan is required.
Open the Mevo App on your smart device and connect to the Mevo Start Camera.
Tap the red button in the bottom left corner of the screen to see streaming options.
On the right side, there is a toggle switch labeled “Multi Destination.”
Once the “Multi Destination” is toggle on you can select the providers you want to stream to. There is a limit of up to 10 simultaneous streaming destinations.
Once each destination is selected and configured, Tap “Go Live” to start the stream.
To end the stream, tap the small red dot, then slide the larger red dot to the right.
You will be given an option to save your video to all feeds being streamed to, Vimeo account, or to an SD card (if being used).
Select “Done” to return to the live edit view of your video.
Using Graphic Overlays
*Note: You need a Vimeo Produces or Vimeo Premium plan in order to access these features.
Types of Overlays available:
Lower Thirds - for identifying speaker's names, locations, and/or tips.
Over-the-Shoulder (OTS) - for displaying larger images on either side of the screen, i.e. to enhance a presentation.
Corner Bug - for displaying a small logo or icon in a corner of the screen.
Full Screen - for overlaying the entire picture, ideal for slates during inactivity or sliders in a presentation.
